With the cold weather about lately it seems everyone has been suffering from snotty noses, colds and for some of the really unlucky, a lingering viral infection. My boys have been no exception. They don’t get ill very often but they both were a write-off for a good week with horrible colds and temperatures.
Luckily for me, I had been sent a couple of Flo Saline Nasal Sprays from Flo Kids to try just a few weeks prior so was able to give them a really decent trial!
I had never tried a nasal spray with my youngest as my eldest had always hated them so much but after letting them play with the spray nozzle for a little while they were both willing to give it a go and thankfully with great success!
There are a couple of points that impressed me with the Flo Saline Nasal Spray but the main one is that it can be sprayed at any angle. It’s hard enough when you have a tired, unwell, irritable child to try and make them sit upright or lie down to use a nasal spray however this one can be used however the child feels more comfortable creating an automatic win situation for you both.
As you may know I am really into using products for my family that are as natural as possible. This is where the Flo Salines win a second time. And as the Flo saline range is preservative-free, you can feel reassured that even the most sensitive noses will love the feel of Flo’s gentle nasal sprays.
Getting back to how my boys went…
I gave my eldest the first go and although a little apprehensive at first he gave his honker a good couple of squirts! Seeing the delight this gave him meant that my 2 year old couldn’t get his turn quick enough and found the result a little surprising at first but equally as enjoyable as my eldest had! I never knew so much joy could be found from a nasal spray (or maybe my boys are just a little on the odd side 😉 )
The last point I will mention about Flo Kids Saline Nasal Spray is the shape of the bottle itself. Instead of the awkward ring around the top that you have to wrap your hand around the Flo Saline Nasal Spray is a really chunky bottle that is easy enough for a 2 year old to handle and therefore administer themselves. This can be a huge advantage for those independent children who like to do things themselves.
